Youth Development

Bay Area Youth Mentorship Program

The SF NPHC Youth Mentorship Program connects young people ages 14–24 with mentors from across all nine member organizations. Our annual summit, monthly workshops, and one-on-one mentoring pairs provide structured pathways to academic success and professional development.

Mentors represent diverse professional fields including technology, law, healthcare, education, finance, and public service. Every pairing is designed around the youth participant's individual goals and interests.

Civic Action

Civic Action & Voter Mobilization

The SF NPHC coordinates year-round civic engagement programming across all nine member organizations, with a particular focus on voter registration, candidate education forums, and civic leadership development.

Our Voter Registration Super Weekends activate member chapters at libraries, community centers, and college campuses throughout the nine-county Bay Area — registering hundreds of new voters each election cycle.

Health & Wellness

Community Health Initiative

The SF NPHC Community Health Initiative brings free health screenings, mental health resources, and wellness education to Bay Area neighborhoods that have historically faced disparities in healthcare access.

Our annual Community Health Fair partners with Bay Area healthcare organizations to provide blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, diabetes testing, dental screenings, and connections to ongoing care resources — all at no cost to participants.

Career Advancement

Professional Excellence Series

The Professional Excellence Series brings together Bay Area professionals from the Divine Nine community to mentor, network, and inspire the next generation of leaders. Quarterly events include speaker panels, workshops, and structured networking sessions.

Programming covers careers in technology, law, medicine, education, finance, and public service. Events are open to young professionals and current students aligned with the council's community.

Community Service

Collective Service Days

Eight times per year, the SF NPHC coordinates collective service days that bring all nine member organizations together in a shared service commitment. Projects include neighborhood clean-ups, food distribution, school supply giveaways, and holiday meal programs.

Community volunteers are welcome to join us — no Greek affiliation required. Contact the council to learn about upcoming service opportunities.

Scholarship Program

Eligibility & Requirements

The SF NPHC Annual Scholarship Program is open to Bay Area students at all degree levels. We are committed to supporting academic excellence and community service in the next generation of Bay Area leaders.

Applicants must be current Bay Area residents (San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma counties) enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university. Membership in a Divine Nine organization is not required.
Individual scholarship awards range from $1,500 to $5,000 per recipient, depending on available funding and applicant qualifications. The total pool for 2025–2026 is $45,000.
Applications require a completed application form, official transcripts (minimum 2.5 GPA), a personal statement (500–750 words), two letters of recommendation, evidence of community service or involvement, and proof of enrollment or acceptance.
The 2025–2026 scholarship application deadline is October 15, 2025. Late applications will not be considered. Recipients will be notified by December 1, 2025.
